About Us

A1 Racing Club is run by and for our members. We are not run for profit and everything we make is put back into the club facilites. Everything in the running and building of the club and track facilities we have acheived by members volunteering their own time, effort and money.

We are a very friendly and relaxed club where beginners are always made very welcome. We have a wealth of experienced drivers who are always on hand to offer help and advice.

We currently have classes for 1/8th Rally Cross, Truggy and Monster Truck. We race many events during the year. Our club racing is split into a summer and a winter season, with a weekly race event.

Our Summer club event is every Tuesday evening, and our Winter club event is currently every Saturday Afternoon. As well as our regular club racing we host other race events and have seperate bash days to allow begginers and seasoned racers to practice and use the track.

Club Race Meeting

Depending on the number of drivers we usually run 3 rounds of 5 minute races, with 10 minute finals.

Results are calculated by FTQ (Fastest Time in Qualifying) and are used towards the monthly series.

Race timing is provided by AMB Transponders and BBK Software.

Club racing fees (Tuesday evening in Summer Season and weekends in Winter Season)

Members - £5.00

Visiting Non Members - £7.00

2008 Bash Fees

Members - Free

Visiting Non Members - £3.00

Non members must prove they have BRCA insurance in order to race

2008 Membership

A1 Racing Club membership is for a full 12 months and entitles you to:

  • Discounted race fees
  • Discounts at Access Models
  • Discounts at Victor Wood
  • Discounted practice/bash fees

Once you have raced three times at A1 Racing you will need to become a member of the BRCA to continue racing. A1 Racing Club is a BRCA affiliated club. (Affiliation No. 5586)

BRCA membership runs from January to December and is renewable annually. If you apply via A1 Racing Club you are also entitled you to a small discount. Some of the benefits of BRCA membership are:

  • Third party insurance cover whenever and wherever you use your radio control car.
  • A copy of the BRCA Handbook
  • Regular BRCA Chatter Circuit magazine
  • A vote at the BRCA AGM

Annual Membership Fee:

£23.00 without BRCA
